Milwaukee Bucks point guard Eric Bledsoe has been diagnosed with a small fracture of his rib and will miss up to two-to-three weeks, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. This timeline has Bledsoe bound to miss at the very least the first week of the regular season.

The Bucks still have George Hill as a capable fill-in starter, though he's nowhere the playmaker or play-finisher that Bledsoe is. Milwaukee also signed Frank Mason III, who can get backup minutes with Hill as the starter for the time being.

Another option would be to use Hill as a defensive point guard and run most of the action through Giannis Antetokounmpo, who would become the de facto point guard in this Mike Budenholzer offense while Bledsoe is on the shelf.

The Bucks would have plenty of shooting available for Antetokounmpo with new additions like Wes Matthews and Kyle Korver, while Hill can serve as a viable spot-up shooter with The Greek Freak at the controls. Khris Middleton could also star in pick-and-roll sets with Antetokounmpo, making the most of their partnership while their starting floor general is on the mend.

Bledsoe's return should give Milwaukee another capable ball-handler and playmaker to put around a bevy of shooters in this high-octane offense.
