Milwaukee Bucks superstar swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo almost left the NBA and went back to Greece during his rookie season because his family wasn't with him.

The most important thing to Antetokounmpo is his family, and when they were having trouble getting their visas to come to America, it was a very stressful time for Giannis, who was all alone in a new country.

Luckily, Antetokounmpo's family was able to get the visas on the third and last try, and Giannis was finally able to just focus on basketball.

Antetokounmpo's father passed away last season. The Greek Freak had a monster game after his dad passed away and dedicated the game to him. Now, Giannis, his two brothers, and mom are together in America. Antetokounmpo's two brothers are basketball players as well.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has come a long way from his rookie season. He's no longer a skinny kid. He's a man who is one of the best players in the NBA.

For the Bucks this season, Antetokounmpo is averaging 27.2 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game while shooting 58.1 percent from the field. He is one of the front runners for the MVP award and has guided Milwaukee to the best record in the NBA.
