Following the chaos of winning the NBA title, Giannis Antetokounmpo got to reflect on the season that was for the Milwaukee Bucks in getting all the way to the mountain top.

Many doubted whether this Bucks team or any Milwaukee team could do it with the core that they had. They quickly silenced those questions and Antetokounmpo reminisced on Kobe Bryant once having a discussion with him about what his goals should be and how great the former Lakers legend thought the Greek Freak could be with the Bucks and in the NBA.

“This started almost like a joke at first. He was in a Nike ad and he was sending challenges to players to Isaiah Thomas, DeMar DeRozan and all that. I was like, ‘Yeah, let me just shoot my shot. What's my challenge?' And he was like ‘MVP.' At first, I was joking, I didn't think he was going to respond to me, but when he did, he made me believe. I'm like ‘Kobe Bryant thinks I can do this? I can play at a high level, lift my team and win MVP?' I had to do it.” – Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

And now, the Bucks and Antetokounmpo have done it. While Twitter can be a toxic environment at times it also yields many cool moments and some were able to track down even some of Kobe's tweets to Giannis.

Like Giannis said, having a legend like Bryant tell you he knows you can do it had to help the Bucks' superstar mental makeup as he went on to hoist his first NBA title along with the Finals MVP as well.
