The Milwaukee Bucks are in a bit of a slump of late after losing both of their last two matchups. The playoffs are just around the corner and the reigning champs will undoubtedly face an uphill battle ahead as they hope to defend their title.

The Bucks are now getting some reinforcements for Giannis Antetokounmpo and the rest of the team. According to ESPN's NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, this will come in the form of ex-EuroLeague Finals MVP Luca Vildoza:

Free-agent guard Luca Vildoza is expected to finalize a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks that will take him through the 2022-23 season, sources told ESPN.

Vildoza — MVP of the 2020 Spanish ACB League finals — has fully recovered from foot surgery and will be activated for the Bucks in the playoffs, sources said.

Vildoza's agent, Alex Saratsis of Octagon Sports, and Bucks GM Jon Horst are expected to finalize terms on the deal in the coming days, sources said.

Prior to signing with the Bucks, Vildoza was actually supposed to suit up for the New York Knicks to start the season. However, after he was able to successfully negotiate a contract buyout with Spanish outfit Baskonia, Vildoza was forced to undergo surgery to address a lingering foot injury. The Knicks decided to release him before the season started.

Vildoza, the EuroLeague 2020 Finals MVP, is not going to be a star and he's likely going to play sparingly for the Bucks come playoffs time. However, the 6-foot-3 combo guard could be a useful weapon off the bench. His ability to knock down the three could also help stretch the floor for Giannis and Co.
