Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo completely transformed into a true Greek Freak, not only in his body but with the way he carries himself. Apparently, that's thanks in large part to Russell Westbrook.

According to

Via The Ringer:

“He had to practice it because he’s not that guy,” says Skip Robinson, then Bucks vice president of community relations and player development. “He’s a lovable guy. A nice gentleman.”

Giannis didn’t want to be seen as a nice gentleman on the court; he wanted to be seen as someone who would tear your heart out. He tried to pattern his scowl after Russell Westbrook’s scowl. Giannis loved Westbrook: his demeanor, his speed, but especially his scowl. Giannis came into practice once, scowling and grunting. “This is my new thing,” Giannis told his teammates.

Well, Giannis Antetokounmpo certainly succeeded. The Bucks' 2021 NBA championship win is a proof of that, with Deandre Ayton and the Phoenix Suns learning to fear the Alpha deer.

For those who missed it, Giannis asserted his dominance in the Bucks' closeout Game 6 and finished with 50 points and 14 rebounds. Sure enough, he also showed his signature mean look and scowl to rub it into his opponents. It was a sensational performance that will go down as one of the best displays in NBA Finals history.

Now, the Bucks superstar can scowl any time he wants. He's a champion and he has the right to do it.,
