The entire Milwaukee Bucks are holding their collective breath for Giannis Antetokounmpo after he suffered a left knee injury in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Giannis was having a big third quarter when he suffered the injury after trying to defend Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela. Giannis was visibly writhing in pain, clutching his left knee, as the entire State Farm Arena went eerily silent.

After the game, Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer didn't give many updates on The Greek Freak but sounded stubbornly optimistic about his squad (via ESPN).

“We'll see how he is tomorrow. We'll take everything as it comes. We'll evaluate it. We've got a heck of a team, a heck of a roster. We've got to be better on both ends. Our group will gather. The character will come through.

You don't need to have a master's degree to know that losing Giannis will be a massive blow to the Bucks. Despite all the mockery regarding his free throw routine, he remains the emotional leader of the squad. His bouncy energy rubs off on his teammates. Oh, he's also a two-time NBA MVP and a Defensive Player of the Year.

But as Budenholzer remarked—because really, he has no other recourse but to stay positive—the Bucks are talented enough to weather Giannis' possible absence. Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, and Brook Lopez are all All-Stars, while PJ Tucker, Jeff Teague, and Bobby Portis are experienced role players.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to get an MRI soon. Game 5 is on Thursday.
