Milwaukee Bucks small forward Khris Middleton has been playing with a sprained pinkie in his right hand since the first game of the season, according to Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The Bucks are taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday and Khris Middleton is not playing due to the pinkie ailment. The swingman re-aggravated it the other day.

In 26 games this season for the Bucks, Khris Middleton is averaging 17.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. The 27-year-old is shooting 41.8 percent from the field, 39.1 percent from beyond the arc and 86.7 percent from the free-throw line. Milwaukee entered Friday with a record of 18-9, second place in the Eastern Conference.

Khris Middleton is vital to the Bucks' success, so risking his long term health wouldn't be the smart play for the team. The injury is clearly affecting his shot, as Middleton is shooting only 28.1 percent from the floor and 20.8 percent from the 3-point line in his last four games while scoring just 11.5 points.

Middleton has a player-option worth $13 million for next season, one which he will likely decline to become an unrestricted free agent since more money is available to him on the open market. Hopefully Middleton's pinkie injury gets better soon so the small forward can return to his old, productive self.
