On Monday, the Milwaukee Bucks have signed Marshall Plumlee of the G League's Agua Caliente, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.

Marshall is the younger brother of Mason and Miles Plumlee, who have also played in the NBA in the past. Similar to his brothers, Marshall committed to Duke University, where he was ranked as the 36th best player in the country. However, the 7-foot big man went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft, and instead joined the Knicks' summer camp, where he later signed.

In the off-season, the Knicks waived Plumlee after he averaged 1.9 points in 21 games. This two-way contract will allow Plumlee to spend up to 45 days with the Bucks. If the Bucks are surprised with his play, they can give him another two-way contract or they can guarantee him for the rest of the season. If the Bucks decide to go in another direction, they can waive Plumlee. Earlier in the season, the Clippers agreed to sign Plumlee, but he was shortly waived after four preseason games.

The NBA is often a temporary home for fringe NBA players, but there have been many success stories of players turning their careers around and gaining unique NBA opportunities. With this signing, Plumlee has to prove that he can add to the Bucks' thirsty roster as the team looks to climb the Eastern Conference standings.

Otherwise, he may have to start over and find another NBA home. Hopefully, Plumlee can resurrect his NBA career with an excellent stint with the Bucks as the team fights to make the postseason.
