Paul Pierce is back making bold predictions.

In a recent interview with Submission Radio, the former NBA player and analyst predicts the Milwaukee Bucks to win the 2019-20 NBA championship and for Giannis Antetokounmpo to get the MVP award for the second consecutive season.

“I’m going to go with the Milwaukee Bucks,” Pierce said, per NESN. “Greek Freak (Antetokounmpo), I believe he’s the best player in the NBA, I think he’ll be MVP, and I think he’s going to carry Milwaukee to the championship.”

It is worth noting that Paul Pierce previously predicted the Bucks to beat the Toronto Raptors in last season's Eastern Conference Finals, and we all knew what happened there.

However, Pierce isn't necessarily wrong with what he said. After all, he did make some valid points. The Bucks are still one of the best teams in the East, and they were able to keep their core intact. Moreover, Antetokounmpo remains with the team — hungrier than ever after coming short of the title in 2018-19.

Still, the East isn't as weak as compared to the previous years. Teams like the Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers and even the Raptors all can do damage and contend. If the Bucks want to make it to the Finals, they will have to work hard for it.

It will be up to Antetokounmpo and the Bucks to bounce back and prove their doubters wrong.
