It's been a tough year for the Los Angeles Lakers as they've become the laughing stock of the league after missing out on the playoffs. In the offseason, the franchise had a chance to secure DeMar DeRozan before he ultimately chose to play with the Chicago Bulls. Now, DeRozan makes a claim that should have LA fans worried.

According to Lakers Daily, DeMar DeRozan had the feeling that the Lakers, “were in ‘disarray’ and ‘didn’t know what they were doing.'” From the sounds of it, DeRozan dodged a bullet and made the right choice to play for the Bulls. He's been dominating this season and had the best statistical year of his career.

As for the Lakers, they very well could be in total “disarray.” The front office elected to trade for Russell Westbrook, whose production fell off the face of a cliff. Los Angeles was unable to afford any competent role players, which caused their downfall this season. Meanwhile, the Bulls acquired DeMar DeRozan and are set to participate in the playoffs.

Even though the Bulls' season wasn't perfect, they'll have a fighting chance to stun the world in the NBA Playoffs. Regardless of the outcome, Chicago should feel confident in the future of this franchise, as the front office has brought in exciting young talent to match the star veterans. For that reason, we could see this organization continue to improve in the Eastern Conference.

Perhaps DeMar DeRozan might have made a difference for the Lakers. He's been phenomenal this season and LA could have used his production. Even so, DeRozan seems content playing for the Bulls, as he aims to help his team make a deep run in the playoffs.
