Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose both grew up in Chicago and had legendary high school careers. Wade is seven years older than Rose, so the Miami Heat legend never competed against the former Chicago Bulls point guard in high school.

The first time Wade saw Derrick Rose play basketball was when Rose was just in seventh grade. Wade says he knew right away Rose was going to be a star in the NBA.

Derrick Rose was the No. 1 overall pick with the Bulls back in 2008. He was the 2009 Rookie of the Year and named MVP in 2011 at just 22-years-old.

Dwyane Wade was clearly right about Rose. The two Chicago natives have had countless battles in the NBA. They were even teammates for a brief time last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Both Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade play the Chicago type of way: Reckless and hard. The All-Stars will go down as two of the best basketball players to ever come out of Chicago.
