Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine finally has the frontcourt man he has always wanted in Nikola Vucevic.

After the Bulls traded for Vucevic at the deadline, LaVine expressed his excitement to team up with the All-Star center, per Sam Smith of Bulls.com.

“I've always wanted to play with a dominant big. We're obviously going to have to figure out our chemistry, but with a guy like that who is so talented offensively, dominant in the post, in the mid-range; he facilitates, he can pop for the three. I think a combination of us in pick-and-roll, pick-and-pops, is going to be (special),” LaVine shared.

The two haven't taken the court together just yet, but it's easy to see why Zach LaVine can't wait to team up with the 6-foot-11 Montenegrin. In 44 games for Orlando this season, Nikola Vucevic shot 48.0 percent from the field and 40.6 percent from the arc with averages of 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

Overall in his career, Vucevic has averages of 16.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists with 49.7 percent shooting from the floor and 35.3 percent from the arc.

He's canning 3-pointers better than he ever has in his career, and the two-time All-Star (2018-19, 2020-21) is only 30—bringing LaVine and the Bulls new life under first-year coach Billy Donovan.

“We're going to have to figure it out. Obviously, it's not going to be perfect. But we have very talented players. I think we're just going to have to go out there and play basketball and try and figure out how to get these wins. Chemistry will come from that,” the Bulls star added.

At 19-24 and just one and a half game behind the No. 8 seed Miami Heat, Chicago could coalesce into a contender with these moves, especially if the LaVine-Vucevic partnership truly works.
