The Chicago Bulls will be without shooting guard Zach LaVine on Saturday when they host the Toronto Raptors.

LaVine will miss his fifth consecutive game with a thigh injury.

At this point, the Bulls might as well shut LaVine down.

After Saturday, Chicago only has five games left in the regular season. Power forward Lauri Markkanen has already been shut down.

In 63 games this season for the Bulls, LaVine is averaging 23.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest. The high-flyer is shooting 46.7 percent from the field, 37.4 percent from beyond the arc and 83.2 percent from the free-throw line.

It's been a productive season for LaVine, who signed a four-year, $78 million deal with Chicago last summer. The 24-year-old has established himself as one of the best young scorers in the NBA. LaVine's 23.7 points per game rank 17th in the league.

The Bulls are going to finish with one of the worst records in the league. Entering Saturday, they are 21-55, 13th place in the Eastern Conference standings.

LaVine said last week if he's healthy, he wants to play. But with five games left in the season, there's no point to suit him up. Management already knows what he can do on the basketball floor.
