Kyler Murray just announced, today, that he was interested in being considered for the NFL draft.

And it didn't take long for the Arizona Cardinals to express their interest in him.

ESPN newsman Adam Schefter suggested that the Cardinals would not only want to scoop up Murray when he joins the draft, they'd be willing to trade current QB Josh Rosen.

Schefter, who is well respected in the NFL for his uncanny ability to analyze games and get inside scoops before nearly anyone else in the game, put forth this suggestion thanks to an interview with Kliff Kingsbury that took place back in October that recently resurfaced.

Back when Kingsbury was the head coach of Texas Tech, he said that Kyler Murray was his top pick, and he'd snatch him if he could.

“I’d take him with the first pick in the draft if I could. I know he signed up to play baseball, but he is a dominant football player and I would take him with the first pick.”

Now that Kingsbury is the head coach of the Cardinals, Schefter says that it's “entirely possible” that he will make good on his promise to snatch up Kyler Murray, even if it means trading his current quarterback in the process.

The Cardinals have the first overall pick and the No. 33 pick.

If, indeed, Kingsbury succeeds in making good on his promise about snatching up Kyler Murray, he has to figure out where to put Josh Rosen. So far, Oakland is emerging as the top contender.
