AJ Green used to be one of the most dangerous wideouts in the game. Well, he's still a threat downfield, but at 32 and after several injuries, it's safe to say that his prime is now in his rearview mirror. Now with the Arizona Cardinals, the hope is that Green will have a resurgence of sorts while playing alongside arguably the No. 1 wide receiver in the NFL today — DeAndre Hopkins.

Green was recently interviewed On the Fly with Lisa Matthews and offered insight on why his pairing with Hopkins is going to spell trouble for the rest of the NFL (h/t of Jess Root of Cards Wire).

“We don’t have no egos,” he said. “You have two guys like that in a room, it’s going to be unbelievable. We feed off each other.”

That's a very soothing thing to hear for Cardinals fans. Having two alphas on a team sometimes does not pan out well, but it appears that Green and Hopkins have nothing but a willingness to work with each other.

It remains to be seen whether Green can still put up the numbers he used to during his heydays with the Cincinnati Bengals. But at the very least, he can help in stretching the field for the Cardinals' offense that was 14th in 2020 with 25.6 points per game and 15th with 244.8 passing yards per contest.
