The Arizona Cardinals interviewed New Orleans Saints tight ends coach Dan Campbell for their head-coaching job on Saturday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Campbell is in high demand right now, as he has also interviewed for head-coaching positions with the Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns.

Campbell has been the Saints' tight ends coach and assistant head coach since 2016, but he does have some head-coaching experience, as he briefly served as the Miami Dolphins' interim head coach in 2015 after the Dolphins fired Joe Philbin.

During his short stint at the helm Miami, Campbell went 5-7.

Campbell originally joined the Dolphins' coaching staff in 2010, starting as an intern. The following year, he was named their tight ends coach, a post he held through 2015 before being promoted to interim head coach.

He then departed for the Saints.

The 42-year-old also had a 10-year playing career, suiting up for the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions. His most productive season came with the Lions in 2006, when he hauled in 21 receptions for 308 yards and four touchdowns.

Overall, Campbell ended his NFL career with 91 catches for 934 yards and 11 scores. He was also a member of the 2000-01 Giants team that made it to the Super Bowl.

The Cardinals are in search of a new coach after firing Steve Wilks following a 3-13 campaign during his first year at the helm. Arizona has missed the playoffs the last three seasons, last qualifying during the 2015-16 campaign when it won 13 games and made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game.
