Cardinals news: David Johnson expected to miss an extended period of time
Things have taken an even more discouraging turn as emerging star running back David Johnson is expected to miss several weeks due to a wrist injury.
As @mortreport has said since Sunday, it could be 2-4 weeks for David Johnson, 3-4 months still possible. Depends on doctor recommendations.

There is an immediate positive sign as the x-rays performed on the injury have already come back negative with no breaks or fractures. All this appears to be solely dependent on what route the doctors recommend is best for Johnson moving forward over the next several weeks.
This is a huge loss for the Cardinals as the 25-year-old plays a significant in the offensive game plan. He is one of the league’s most dynamic running backs that has shown the ability to impact the game as both a runner and a receiver out of the backfield.
He is coming off his first full season as the starter where he racked up 1,239 rushing yards with 16 touchdowns along with 80 catches for 879 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
The Cardinals’ backup Kerwynn Williams and could bring back veteran running back Chris Johnson back into the fold. Johnson had been cut by the team just before the start of the regular season.
