The Arizona Cardinals finally managed to secure their franchise quarterback in Kyler Murray with the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. It appears former NFL wideout and current analyst Greg Jennings has high expectations for the rookie.

Murray has generated plenty of hype due to his status as an electrifying playmaker. Jennings even went so far as to compare him to NFL legend Michael Vick during an appearance on UNDISPUTED.

“Kyler Murray is a generational talent. … We haven't seen this type of talent since Michael Vick.”

This is certainly some high praise coming from Jennings after mentioning a player of Vick's caliber. Of course, it is far too early to start throwing around such lofty comparisons, his comments are certainly understandable.

Like Vick, Murray is more than capable of making plays with both his arm and his legs. Although the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback is mostly remembered for his running prowess, there is no denying that he boasted one of the most powerful arms in the NFL.

The Cardinals' rookie also possesses a versatile skill set as a runner and a passer that make him a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. He solidified that notion by winning the Heisman Trophy before turning down a career in the MLB to lay in the NFL.

Only time will tell whether or not Murray will ever be able to justify Jennings' comparison to Vick. Regardless, the Cardinals are hoping that he can be the solution to their ongoing problems under center and on offense.
