The Arizona Cardinals are the only undefeated team left in the NFL and look like a serious threat to make the Super Bowl. But it looks like they'll have to do it without the services of star defensive end JJ Watt.

The Cardinals star was ruled out of their marquee Thursday Night Football matchup against the 6-1 Green Bay Packers due to a shoulder injury. But with the latest report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, it looks like JJ Watt will be needing shoulder surgery that could potentially be season-ending.

Via Rapoport:

DE JJ Watt played the entire second half last week… and now needs shoulder surgery, source said. The recovery is likely at least three months, which may knock him out for the season. A tough situation for the veteran.

JJ Watt had suffered the injury during the second quarter Cardinals' matchup against his former team, the Houston Texans. He was still able to play through the injury and finish the game, which made it seem like the issue wasn't as bad as you'd expect.

The news is absolutely brutal for the Cardinals, but more so for JJ Watt, who's now facing the possibility of his fourth season-ending injury in the last six seasons.
