The Arizona Cardinals are expected to reach an agreement with free agent wide receiver, and former first round pick of the Chicago Bears, Kevin White.

White became a seventh overall pick in 2015 because of his fantastic speed that left college defenders in the dust, but has not lived up to that potential. That is not entirely his fault. In each of the seasons, he has found himself on the injured reserve. All were for different injuries. It started with his shin, then his leg, and finally his shoulder blade.

The Bears finally decided to go out and grab some more speed at the position with guys like Taylor Gabirel, rendering White nearly useless. Ultimately, the speedy wide receiver parted ways with the team.

He will be looking for a resurgence with the Cardinals and new head coach Kliff Kingsbury in the 2019 season. His skill set will give the offensive-minded coach plenty to work with.

The only question might be who will throw him the ball. Josh Rosen is the incumbent quarterback, and also a first rounder. However, the rumors are circulating that the Cardinals may be enamored with Kyler Murray. That complicates that situation.

If White can overcome his injury issues and tap into the upside that made him worth a seventh overall pick, then he can be a good target for whoever might be throwing him the ball. The West Virginia product is a 6'3″ target that once had top flight speed.

Nothing is official quite yet, but the writing is on the wall. It will be interesting to see how White and Kingsbury fit together during the upcoming season.
