It had been trending in this direction, and now Arizona Cardinals stars Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins are officially inactive for Week 10 against the Carolina Panthers due to their respective injuries. Murray is dealing with an ankle injury, while Hopkins has a hamstring issue.

Murray and Hopkins both missed the Week 9 victory over the San Francisco 49ers because of their respective injuries. The Cardinals' star quarterback did return to practice on Friday, but that wasn't enough to have him ready for Sunday's tilt. Hopkins didn't practice all week, so it's not a surprise that he has been ruled out.

Both Cardinals stars last played in Arizona's lone loss of the season against the Green Bay Packers in Week 8. The Cardinals are 8-1 on the year and have the luxury of playing it extremely cautious with these players.

Colt McCoy will again start in Murray's place. While Hopkins being out is a bummer, the Cardinals will have Rondale Moore and A.J. Green available at wide receiver. Arizona is a good enough team to win without Murray and Hopkins, though the Panthers could be energized by the presence of Cam Newton in this game.

This should be a fun one to watch.
