Who doesn't want to be an NBA player right now?

Carlos Delfino hasn't played in the league since 2013, but it looks as if he's interested in making a potential comeback.

Delfino, who will be 34 before the start of next season, said this in an interview with Basquet Plus:

“I still feel like an NBA player. I want to come back to do interesting stuff. That's my objective.”

Delfino has had seven foot surgeries since last playing for the Houston Rockets in 2013. It's kept him out of basketball altogether for nearly three years. It's good timing for Delfino to try and make a comeback. More cash than ever is being thrown the way of role players and Delfino may be able to capitalize on the current climate of the league.

Delfino will play for Argentina in the Rio Olympics a few weeks from now. Argentina is always one of the few countries with a shot to challenge the United States, although its Golden Age is now in the past. A strong showing in Rio from Delfino may turn the heads of a few teams that are still trying to fill roster spots.

His last NBA season was with the Houston Rockets where he averaged a solid 10.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and a steal in 25 minutes per game.

A lot of franchises could be in the mix for a guy like Carlos Delfino, who is a career 36.5 percent 3-point shooter. If he can get back close to what he was a few years ago, he could definitely make a rotation.
