DeMarcus Cousins only played eight minutes, due to foul trouble, in the 44-point destruction by Team USA of the Venezuelan national team but the U.S. team took care of business regardless.

They won 113-69 and a shining star in that game was Olympic veteran Carmelo Anthony, who scored 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting, while also passing the great Michael Jordan on the U.S. men's Olympic scoring list.

But even when the distressed Cousins made his way back to the U.S. bench to spend the rest of the game on the sidelines, who was the first person there to console him? New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony.

The two hugged it out, even with Anthony admitting he wasn't much of a hugger, per ESPN's Marc Stein:

“I'm not really a hugger. Sometimes you just gotta give (Cousins) a hug, man, and tell him everything's gonna be all right.”

Even after this win, we hope Cousins doesn't foul out again. The U.S. team plays the Australia next, who has Andrew Bogut and Aron Baynes. Then on Friday, they face Serbia, who has Nikola Jokic. Last, they play France who has Joffrey Lauvergne, and Utah Jazz teammates Rudy Gobert and Boris Diaw.
