Channing Frye has bid farewell to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 35-year-old Frye, who announced his retirement earlier last March, delivered his final message to Cavs fans at Quicken Loans Arena.

Channing Frye has been the leader of the Cavs since the departure of LeBron James. He is often credited for keeping the team together, especially throughout this difficult 2018-19 season.

Moreover, Cavs forward Kevin Love described Frye as “a consummate pro,” setting a great example for his young teammates.

“I think he's a consummate pro,” Love told Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com. “He brings it every day. Even in the morning he's sitting there running on the treadmill before all of us get there. I think that's who he is.”

He's always been a guy that enjoys the game, but I think having his heart condition and having the game taken away from him that year kind of pushed him more so in a direction where he's become the Channing Frye we all know.

Frye is a 13-year NBA veteran who played for the New York Knicks, Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magic and lastly for the Cavs. While he has been a journeyman throughout his career, he has found a home in Cleveland.

Frye was a member of the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers squad which won its first NBA title. He averaged 8.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 assist in his NBA career.
