The Cleveland Cavaliers have their backs against the wall in their conference semifinal series against the Boston Celtics. Facing elimination in Game 5, the Cavs have to pull out a huge win at the TD Garden with Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen on the injury report and Caris LeVert joining them.

Mitchell (left calf strain) and Allen (right rib contusion) were both sidelined for Game 4 as the Celtics pulled away and won by a final score of 109-102. Boston led by as much as 15 in the fourth quarter before easing off the gas, taking a 3-1 series lead back home with them. The Cavs' injury troubles have only gotten worse since then.

LeVert, one of Cleveland's key bench payers, was initially listed as questionable on the NBA injury report with a left knee bone bruise. Allen was also labeled as questionable, while Mitchell has been ruled out for Game 5. Unfortunately, both LeVert and Allen have since been ruled out.

Donovan Mitchell, Jarrett Allen, Caris LeVert listed on Cavs' Game 5 injury report

LeVert has appeared in all 11 of the Cavs' playoff games so far, playing 25.3 minutes per game and stepping into the starting lineup last game due to Mitchell's injury. The 6-foot-6 wing is averaging 10.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 43.1 percent from the field.

The Cavs have managed to give the Celtics a better fight than most expected. Although they have been blown out twice, they did at least have a lead during the third quarter of Game 4 and managed to keep it close heading into the fourth quarter. But the Celtics' incredible talent has allowed them to pull away in each game, save for Cleveland's blowout win in Game 2.

The status of Cavs guard Craig Porter Jr. (left ankle sprain) was initially upgraded from out to doubtful, but he has since been ruled out again. Meanwhile, the lone injury the Celtics are dealing with is to starting center Kristaps Porzingis, who is out because of a right soleus strain.

Although Darius Garland and Evan Mobley are a go for the Cavs, the absences of Mitchell, LeVert and Allen will make it even tougher to steal a win in Boston.
