The Boston Celtics will be faced with a tough decision in the near future. Back-up point guard Terry Rozier, who's approaching restricted free agent status, is drawing interest from several teams around the league. As of now, the C's are happy with their roster, but their phone lines are hot with teams interested in Rozier.

According to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic, as many as seven teams are in pursuit of Rozier, who scored six points, three rebounds, one block, one steal, and two 3-pointers in Monday's 115-107 loss to the Denver Nuggets.

Elsewhere in Boston, with Kyrie Irving verbally committing to a return and a new deal with the Celtics, the franchise will eventually have to face a difficult decision when it comes to the possible lucrative restricted free agency of Terry Rozier.

Quietly, at least seven teams have been monitoring Rozier’s status this season, league sources told The Athletic, waiting to see if the Celtics could begin to field trade calls. The Phoenix Suns have aggressively pursued Rozier, even before firing Ryan McDonough as general manager, league sources said.

Nevertheless, Boston appears content with its roster, and who could blame them? Celtics general manager Danny Ainge and his front office staff have built arguably the deepest roster in the Eastern Conference and anywhere in the league outside of the Bay.

Rozier, now 24 years of age, has endeared himself to fans in Boston. His hard-working style of play is contagious, and his teammates respect him for it. In his 10 appearances with the Celtics this season, the Youngstown, Ohio native has racked up averages of 7.5 points on 35.5 percent shooting from the field (39.4 percent from beyond the arc), 4.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 22.7 minutes per outing.

What sort of action the Celtics will take with regards to Rozier's free agency remains to be seen, but there is no doubt that he would make a fine addition to a lot of teams. For now, just stay tuned.
