The Boston Celtics are adding the final touches to the upcoming season's roster by handing PJ Dozier a two-way contract.

Dozier is a 21-year-old, 6-foot-7 combo guard who was part of the Oklahoma City franchise last year. The youngster briefly featured in only two games for the Thunder last season, and he spent the majority of his time with the Oklahoma City Blue of the G League.

The University of South Carolina product appears to have impressed the Celtics enough for him to warrant a two-way deal. While Dozier won't be in Brad Stevens' rotation to start, he should see plenty of time in the G League and could get a chance with the big club if there are injuries.

Boston's backcourt is already packed as it is with Kyrie Irving set to return to his usual starting point guard role alongside Jaylen Brown. After finally putting pen to paper on a four-year, $52 million extension, Marcus Smart figures to be the first guard off the Boston bench. Terry Rozier will also undoubtedly demand heavy minutes in the backcourt after breaking out in the postseason.

Nonetheless, Boston's barrage of injuries last season gave a ton of opportunities to certain players who may not have had the chance to shine had the team been in full force. The Celtics will obviously be hoping for better luck this year with regards to injuries, but should a similar situation arise, then perhaps Dozier will get his number called.
