Boston Celtics big man Enese Kanter is one of the most colorful characters in the NBA. As it turns out, WWE has had its eye on Kanter as a potential recruit, and as revealed by the 27-year-old himself, he is definitely well on his way to becoming a WWE superstar in the near future.

Kanter recently did a video interview with NBA insider Shams Charania, and the former took the opportunity to make his big announcement:

“Definitely becoming a WWE wrestler, for sure,” Kanter said when asked what he intends to do once his stint in the NBA ends. “I actually already have this offer from WWE, but I'm like, ‘Dude, I need to finish my basketball career first.' After this I'm definitely becoming one.”

There you have it, straight from the horse's mouth. Kanter is known to be a joker, but he was dead serious when talking about his post-NBA aspiration. This is not the first time we've heard Kanter talking about wanting to become a WWE wrestler, so his statement here is not a surprise by any means.

A couple of years ago, Kanter already expressed his desire to become a professional wrestler and follow in the footsteps of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He has already given us a glimpse of his very own wrestling moves, and he even won WWE's 24/7 title at Madison Square Garden in 2019. Earlier this year, he made a bold claim that he would one day become the WWE's Universal Champion, and he even addressed a possible match against NFL star Rob Gronkowski, who himself has made several appearances in the WWE.

It is clear that this is not an impulsive decision from the Celtics center, as it is more of a well-thought-out goal.
