Gordon Hayward is an avid League of Legends player, and it's safe to say he's pretty good at it. He's been proud of it for years and even went to the extent of claiming that he's the best in the NBA when it comes to the popular video game.

However, while the Boston Celtics star is confident about his skills, there's another NBA player who he thinks can dethrone and beat him in LoL.

“I’m still looking for an NBA player that’s better than me at League of Legends,” Hayward said in a video interview with Rolling Stone.

“I do know that Jeremy Lin plays Dota. He might be the one guy where, if he played League, he would probably be pretty decent. If he would come over to League, I would take on that challenge.”

Gordon Hayward's comment, of course, isn't far-fetched given that Jeremy Lin himself is a big eSport fan and a bigger Dota fan. The Brooklyn Nets point guard has already declared his love for the game and even got to commentate on The International Dota 2 Championships.

Both Hayward and Lin are currently injured, with the former suffering from a broken leg and the latter from a ruptured patella tendon. They are expected to miss the rest of the 2017-18 season due to their injuries, so it might not be a bad idea for the two to play and show their competitive spirit while they recover.

Jeremy Lin is yet to respond to what seems like a challenge from Gordon Hayward, but it would be nice if the Nets guard could ask the Celtics forward for a game of Dota 2 as well.
