Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics have been a match made in heaven thus far. The Celtics took a chance on Brown, selecting him third overall out of UC-Berkeley in 2016. Since then, Brown's potential has been realized, earning All-Rookie and All-Star team selections and averaging 20+ points per game each of the last three seasons. Celtics fans love Jaylen Brown, and consider him a star. Or do they?

Recent activity online from Brown indicates he's feeling a level of disrespect from the Boston fanbase following the team's 2022 NBA Finals loss. The ever-observant NBA Twitter community noticed a peculiar tweet that had been liked by Brown:

This could be a huge deal, or it might not be. Controversy based around a player's liked tweet emerges at a constant rate, with little to no action or movement after the fact. Just because Brown isn't feeling the love from fans doesn't mean he's displeased with his team or the Celtics organization.

However, he very well could be. It wouldn't be the first time a player used social media to stir up rumors and gain an advantage in negotiations. Brown is under contract until the 2024 offseason. But in today's NBA, that doesn't mean very much. Brown certainly has the talent and leverage to make a move happen if he wants.

The liked tweet isn't a surefire confirmation that Brown is unhappy with his situation. After all, he and his young group of teammates just made the NBA Finals and will likely compete for title for years to come. Regardless, his recent online activity should at least concern Celtics fans.
