Joe Johnson made his second debut for the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night after signing a 10-day deal with the team under the league's hardship exception rule. The Celtics are in dire need of some warm bodies right now and they decided to turn to the 40-year-old for some much-needed help.

Boston took on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday and with the C's up 16 points with just under two minutes remaining, Johnson's time came. The Boston home crowd erupted as Johnson saw his number called, and they gave the seven-time All-Star a well-deserved standing ovation (h/t Celtics on NBC Sports Boston):

Johnson took only one shot in the game but he made sure to make it count. Unsurprisingly, the capacity crowd went crazy again after Iso Joe drained his first NBA bucket in more than three years:

That was a classic Joe Johnson move and the fans truly appreciated the effort from him. The 6-foot-7 wing signed with the Celtics as a temporary replacement amid the team's myriad of injuries/COVID issues. However, it is abundantly clear that Boston fans would love to see him pen a more permanent deal with the squad.

In case you forgot, the Celtics were Johnson's first NBA team. It was Boston that drafted the former Arkansas standout as the 10th overall pick back in 2001. For what it's worth, Johnson's second debut on Wednesday just set an amazing NBA record:

Iso Joe is back and we just all hope he's here to stay.
