Boston Celtics All-Star point guard Kemba Walker believes his lane penetration will “open up opportunities for other guys” on the team.

Walker is one of the best slashers and finishers in the league. The three-time All-Star always commands heavy traffic around him when he's driving toward the basket. Walker says his Celtics teammates are going to get wide-open looks when he penetrates to the rim and collapses the defense.

“I think my skills complement these guys,” Walker said, via Celtics.com. “I love to get in the lane and I’m gonna have a lot of attention. That’ll definitely open up opportunities for other guys but for the most part, I think I make my teammates better in other ways, just being a good teammate, wanting the best for those guys and pushing them as much as possible. It’s going to be fun.”

Kemba Walker has career averages of 19.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 605 games. He put up 25.6 points and 5.9 assists this past season with the Charlotte Hornets.

The New York native is one of the best point guards in the NBA. The Celtics are very fortunate they were able to replace Kyrie Irving with Walker, who is looking forward to go on a deep playoff run in Boston, something he was never able to accomplish in Charlotte.
