Boston Celtics star point guard Kyrie Irving looks to Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant for advice on how to become a better player and leader.

Irving is already one of the best players in the league, but Uncle Drew is still learning what it takes to become a leader of a team which has championship aspirations like the Celtics.

Bryant didn't come into the league as a leader. After all, Kobe entered the NBA right out of high school.

The Black Mamba says Irving's next step as a superstar is to figure out how to get the most out of his teammates every night on the Celtics:

“The next move for [Kyrie] is figuring out how to get the most out of the pieces around him,” Bryant said at SiriusXM’s Town Hall with Kobe Bryant. “That’s really hard. And understanding how do you find an emotional connection with each player, figure out what their fears are, and help turn those fears into strengths.

“And to do that you have to put time in. And I don’t mean time in the gym. I mean time listening. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Talking to guys, listening to what they’re saying.”

As we have seen this season with the Celtics, Kyrie Irving is learning first-hand the challenges of being a leader.

The All-Star guard even called LeBron James to apologize for how he acted in his younger days on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Irving is clearly evolving as a player and man.
