The Boston Celtics will likely be without the services of Kyrie Irving and Terry Rozier for Wednesday night's home game against the Detroit Pistons, according to a report from Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe.

Irving, who was held out of Tuesday's 112-109 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, has been dealing with a strained right knee. Rozier, on the other hand, is now listed as doubtful with an illness.

Irving suffered the injury this past weekend against the L.A. Clippers and has been listed as day to day since. According to ESPN, the Celtics are 8-2 in games that Irving has missed this season, while going 28-19 in games that he has played.

If Rozier is unable to play in Wednesday's game, the Celtics will obviously be a bit short-handed at the point guard position. Head coach Brad Stevens will likely lean on Marcus Smart quite a bit. Jaylen Brown could be asked to play a bit more as well.

Irving has made 47 appearances with the Celtics this season (all starts), racking up averages of 23.6 points on 49.8 percent shooting from the field (40.9 percent from beyond the arc), 6.9 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 32.5 minutes per outing.

Wednesday night's Celtics-Pistons game is scheduled to tip inside TD Garden at 7:30 p.m. ET, marking the fourth and final meeting between the two teams this season. Boston won the first two bouts, but Detroit took the latest meeting, 113-104
