Boston Celtics small forward Marcus Morris says star point guard Kyrie Irving is the biggest difference-maker on the road for the team in the 2019 playoffs.

The Celtics went 1-8 on the road in the 2018 playoffs. Irving, of course, didn't play at all in the 2018 postseason due to a knee injury which required surgery during the regular season.

Boston defeated the Indiana Pacers in Game 3 on Saturday and Irving was his usual elite self. Uncle Drew put up 19 points, five rebounds and 10 assists in 27 minutes.

“It’s a different team,” Morris said, via Tom Westerholm of Mass Live. “It’s an entirely different team. We added, to me, one of the best point guards in the game, if not the best, Ky. I mean, there you go, right there. He’s a closer, he’s an opener, he sets the tempo, he sets the style. That’s the biggest thing.”

The Celtics have their closer back in Irving, who is going to have the ball in his hands at the end of games.

Boston didn't have a closer during the 2018 postseason and it's one of the reasons they struggled on the road. When the opposing crowd is loud and the game is close, you need a player like Irving who is not afraid of the moment and has a killer mindset.

The Celtics will look to sweep the Pacers on Sunday.
