The Boston Celtics officially introduced their biggest additions this offseason, Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, recently during a press conference they held. The two All-Stars were joined on stage by their president, Danny Ainge, Brad Stevens, together with team owners and other front office executives, as they answered some questions members of the media had for them, and showed everyone how excited they are with their acquisitions.

One reporter wanted to know from Hayward what has changed since his days at Butler, where he was also mentored by Stevens. He cited the 5:45 a.m. practices as one of the differences now that he is in the NBA, before the 40-year-old head coach added that the small forward couldn't even grow a beard yet that time. The reporter then made a very hilarious comeback at him, which brought a lot of laughs from the entire room.

Gordon played at Butler from 2008-2010 and was under the tutelage of Stevens that time. He helped him bring the best out of his game, which resulted to his ninth overall selection back in the 2010 draft by the Utah Jazz. Now that they are reunited in Beantown, bigger things are expected from them as they can also strengthen their player-coach relationship further.

With Gordon, Irving, Jayson Tatum and Marcus Morris now part of the Celtics fold, many are already thinking that they have a better chance of competing in the Eastern Conference, and could even make it all the way to the Finals. There is no doubt about the level of talent that they have, and the key to their success will be their chemistry, which will be one of Stevens’ tasks, and something he needs to make sure they form immediately if they want to make it deeper in the postseason.
