Boston Celtics big man Robert Williams is dealing with a knee issue heading to Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. With that, he was initially listed as questionable for the contest.

However, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Williams is likely to return and play in Monday night's game. He missed Game 3 last Saturday due to the same left knee soreness.

UPDATE: Robert Williams has been officially listed as available to play in Game 4 alongside Jayson Tatum. Marcus Smart, however, is out.

Robert Williams is a key cog for the Celtics. Along with Marcus Smart, he helps anchor the top-rated Boston defense. Unfortunately, he has already missed seven games in the playoffs as he deals with his knee problems.

Without him in Game 3, the Celtics had no answer for Heat big man Bam Adebayo, who dominated even in the absence of Jimmy Butler in the second half of the contest. Adebayo got everything he wanted in the painted area and all over the floor en route to 31 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, four steals and one block.

The Celtics are trailing the Heat 2-1 in the series, so they really need every help they can get in their attempt to even things out.

In the games he has played so far in the 2022 postseason, Williams is averaging 7.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists. However, as mentioned, he is making most of his impact on the defensive end where is he collecting 2.0 blocks per contest.
