Terry Rozier saw All-Star teammate Gordon Hayward working out and says that the Boston Celtics forward is looking great.

According to Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe, Rozier said:

After suffering a gruesome season-ending injury on opening night last year against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Hayward is on track to return this season. Despite his absence, the Celtics managed to fight their way all up to the Eastern Conference Finals. Though they lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers, it pretty much proved that the Celtics are able and legitimate contenders in the East — with or without the presence of a star player.

But with the impending return of Hayward, the Celtics are expected to take over the East this year. Standing in their way are the Philadelphia 76ers who also made strides in the postseason.

In relation to Rozier's observation, Celtics head coach Brad Stevens shared that Hayward will be cleared for some 5-on-5 drills very soon. Per Jay King of The Athletic, Stevens said:

“He’ll be cleared to go some 5-on-5 here very, very, very soon — like, any time soon.”

The Celtics are wisely taking their time with Hayward's rehabilitation. Once he's cleared, he'll form a deadly trio with Kyrie Irving and Al Horford. Let's not forget about incoming sophomore Jayson Tatum who is expected to make the All-Star team soon.

The Celtics were good last season despite being undermanned. Now, all their pieces are good and ready to go. Expect them to wreak havoc in the entire league once the season begins.
