Paul Pierce has been in the headlines as of late due to some rather muddy news regarding his famous wheelchair ride in Game 1 of the 2008 NBA Finals.

Though there were initially concerns about Pierce’s health for the rest of the series, Pierce swiftly returned to the court and helped lead the Boston Celtics to a triumph over the Los Angeles Lakers en route to winning his lone championship.

However, during the NBA Finals, Pierce opened up about the incident and admitted he actually defecated in his trousers during the game — hence why he had to be carried off the court by his devoted teammates.

One of those teammates that carried Pierce off was Tony Allen, the multiple-time All-Defensive Team selection for the Memphis Grizzlies and beloved member of the “Grit ‘N Grind” teams of the early-to-mid 2010s.

Allen, who has a weekly guest spot on Memphis radio with Chris Vernon of The Ringer, addressed the Paul Pierce poop story with Vernon.

As you can see and hear, Allen had no idea that Pierce had actually “gone number two” in his gym shorts despite being in such close proximity to the scene of the crime.

Allen and Pierce are still on good terms, but Allen did tell Vernon that he will have to hash out the entire situation with Pierce in the future. Certainly Pierce has a doody err…duty to tell Allen the truth about this matter.
