We've got the Boston Celtics vs. Dallas Mavericks Game 3 Results of the NBA Finals according to NBA 2K24. The Celtics currently lead the series 2-0 after winning the first two games in Boston. The Mavericks hope to turn things around back home, where they'll play Games 3 & 4. The series is still young, and anything can happen, but it'll be an uphill battle for Dallas. Without further ado, let's check out the simulation of the third game of the NBA Finals.

Celtics vs. Mavericks NBA Finals Game 3 Results According To NBA 2K24

According to our NBA 2K24 Simulation, the Boston Celtics will defeat the Dallas Mavericks in Game 3 by a score of 114-87. The Celtics dominated throughout the game, thanks to a strong showing from all the stars on their roster. The Mavericks didn't play great, especially when their key players had to step off the court. Their comeback attempt was laid to rest after an ugly fourth quarter that saw them get outscored 38-21.

This was perhaps our most lopsided simulation yet, with the Celtics winning by 27 points. The team dominated in almost every statistical category and even converted all their free throws. Dallas, meanwhile, struggled to make their shots and hold onto the ball. Furthermore, they failed to capitalize on turnovers, only scoring 4 points after doing so.

In terms of player performance, Jayson Tatum earned the game ball here. His 41 points, eight rebounds, and 4 assists helped the Celtics' offensive efforts. Kristaps Porzingis once again proved his value to the team, scoring 13 points while earning 12 rebounds. Furthermore, he recorded a steal and two blocks throughout the contest. Nobody else put up eye-opening stats, but five Celtics players managed to drop double-digit points on the night.

As for the Mavericks, Kyrie Irving was the only player to put up 20+ points throughout the contest. Luka Doncic only posted 19 points while accounting for four of the team's turnovers. P.J. Washington put up a somewhat respectable performance with 17 points and 9 rebounds, but failed to earn any assists, blocks, or steals.  Daniel Gafford put up a double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and a steal. Overall, it was just another down day for the Mavericks.

With the win, the Celtics now take a 3-0 lead in the NBA Finals. It now becomes less of a matter of “if” but rather “when” they'll win the NBA Finals. They can actually close out the series in Dallas in Game 4 if they continue to play well. However, we've seen some crazy things happen throughout NBA Finals history. So the Celtics can't let their guard down just yet.

With the loss, the Mavericks now trail by three games. More importantly, they lost in front of the home crowd in a game that could've turned the series around. However, it's not over yet, though no team has ever made a come back like this in NBA History. There's a first time for everything, and we'll find out if Kyrie, Luka, and the Mavericks are ready make history. We'll see in Game 4.

In terms of accuracy, the scoreboard itself isn't unrealistic. However, I don't know if I see the Mavericks losing by that much. However, considering how well the Celtics are playing right now, it's not entirely unreasonable. Nevertheless, we'll continue to make adjustments to the CPU Sliders in an effort to create better simulations. But for now, we're just enjoying 2K24's simulations before the season finally ends.

One area we wish to improve on in our next simulation is making proper adjustments to reflect more accurate stats. However, one thing we can't affect is individual player performances. So if we affect the CPU's three-point conversion success rate, then all players, regardless of their skill, seem to suffer. We'll see if we can find ways to improve individual player stats and performances.
