Despite his strong relationship with Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and the people of Dallas, Chandler Parsons decided to leave town in free agency for a bigger pay day with the Memphis Grizzlies.

In the end, the uncertainty with the health of Parsons' knee was too big of a concern for the Mavs. They opted to sign the Warriors‘ old swing man Harrison Barnes instead, and Parsons received the max contract he was looking for in Memphis.

Mavs fans were certainly disappointed to see Parsons go, but there was no noticeable outrage like there was in OKC when Kevin Durant left the Thunder for the Warriors.

However, some fans let their passion get the best of them at times. Six weeks removed from Parsons signing with the Grizzlies, one guy decided to burn his old Parsons Mavs jersey.

He posted the crackling footage onto Twitter and tagged Chandler's personal account:

Rather than take offense, Parsons quickly responded with comical take on seeing his jersey set ablaze:

When you're set to make $94 million, like Parsons, to do something that you love, it's hard to get too upset with something like this, especially considering it's an isolated incident.

The same can't be said about Durant, whose Thunder jersey was destroyed in a number of ways by angry fans back in July. Incineration was a common approach.
