Could Charles Barkley be the newest face of LIV Golf?

That's right, you read that correctly. The PGA lost a large number of golfers to the new league. And now, former NBA player and TNT personality Charles Barkley could be taking his talents there as well.

According to The New York Post, Chuck met with Greg Norman for dinner Wednesday night in Atlanta. There, they discussed Barkley becoming a broadcaster for LIV Golf, and Norman plans on offering him the position.

Unfortunately, Charles Barkley's situation isn't too different than that of the former PGA golfers. Barkley still has three years left on his contract with Turner Sports' TNT. And, according to Front Office Sports, there's a clause in his contract that makes him exclusive to TNT.

In other words, Barkley will have to choose between the two positions. And, based on Chuck's comment to The Post, things aren't looking to go in TNT's favor.

He told The Post that he plans on playing in LIV Golf's Pro-Am event at the Trump National in Bedminster, New Jersey next week.

Nothing is official and Barkley is still tied to his deal with Turner Sports. However, it certainly seems like he is becoming more familiar and building a relationship with both Norman and LIV.

Charles Barkley wouldn't be the first broadcaster to join LIV Golf from a major media outlet. According to The Post, former NBC sportscaster Arlo White joined LIV, as well as NBC's David Feherty.
