NBA legend and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley recently guested on The NFL Today on CBS and gave his thoughts on a lot of news surrounding the league.

Known for speaking his mind without holding back, the basketball Hall of Fame member sounded off on the Oakland Raider's planned move to Las Vegas. This comes after Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval signed the bill to fund a new stadium from the state's hotel tax money despite the team having a very wealthy owner, Mark Davis.

“It always amazes me how these cities come up with money. They don't have money for poor people, but any time they need a new stadium, they come up with money. They should stay in Oakland, not even get a new stadium. They don't have any money in Oakland. They should play where the 49ers play in Santa Clara.”

Barkley made it clear that he did not play football that much except for “a day”, and although he may not have played the game a lot, he appears to understand the business side of it.

He suggested that instead of building the new arena and moving to Las Vegas, the Raiders should just stay in Oakland and share Levi Stadium with the San Francisco 49ers.

It's a suggestion that may seem far-fetched, but definitely possible. In the NBA, two teams representing the same city, the Los Angeles Lakers and the L.A. Clippers, share the same stadium and alternate the use of it during their home games. With the NFL playing less games than the NBA, it even makes scheduling of a lot easier.
