One way Chicago can improve is by revamping the offensive line. With Justin Fields developing into a franchise quarterback, finding him the best protection possible should be high on the priority list. This move alone should make the Bears' offense more consistent than they've been.

Chicago has been decent on the defensive end and the front office should consider maintaining the core of that group. To do so, they'll have to make at least one big re-sign before free agency. Additionally, we should see a prospect finally get a chance at becoming the starter and a big move could be made to upgrade the receiver room.

With that said, here are our four bold Bears predictions.

Bears Offseason Predictions

4. Chicago makes massive improvements to the offensive line

Football is a game won in the trenches and the Bears could set themselves apart by bringing in high-quality talent. Between free agency and the NFL Draft, Chicago has a chance to completely revamp the offensive line. Doing so will give Justin Fields more time in the pocket while helping the rushing attack as well.

3. The front office re-signs Akiem Hicks

Akiem Hicks has been a great defensive lineman throughout his career. Considering the Bears' defense is already good, keeping Hicks in the lineup makes a ton of sense. He'll garner interest from other franchises, but with Matt Eberflus in charge, Hicks could re-sign and thrive in Chicago.

2. Coaching staff finally makes Cole Kmet the starting tight end

Many have bought into the idea that Cole Kmet is a star in the making. However, he's been playing in a backup role so far throughout his career. After spending some time learning the ropes and adjusting to the professional level, it's time the Bears unleash Kmet next season.

Fields and Kmet connected a few times throughout last season, so there's reason to believe the chemistry is already strong between the two. Jimmy Graham is set to hit free agency, leaving Cole Kmet a chance to earn the starting tight end role.

1. Bears let Allen Robinson walk but sign Chris Godwin

For whatever reason, the Bears failed to target Allen Robinson last year. The NFL is stacked with wide receiver talent, but the best move for him is to find a new team to play for. That will leave Chicago with a putrid wide receiver group, but the front office can make up for it in free agency.

Chris Godwin is expected to hit free agency and would be a phenomenal addition to the Bears' offense. Although he's coming back from a serious injury, Godwin has proven to be one of the league's best receivers. Between him, Darnell Mooney, and Cole Kmet, Chicago could give themselves a three-headed monster in the passing game. Add an exciting rookie receiver through the NFL Draft, and Chicago suddenly has an intriguing offense.
