The Chicago Bulls are currently sitting on top of the Eastern Conference with a 25-10 record. DeMar DeRozan looks like an MVP candidate, while Zach LaVine isn't far behind. Nikola Vucevic is coming around after a sluggish start to the season. Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso are All-Defensive Team candidates.

The Bulls have an excellent core in place, but they could still use an upgrade before the Feb. 10 trade deadline in order to strengthen the roster to help try to win the title. As good as Chicago looks right now, teams like the Milwaukee Bucks, Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat will be mighty formidable in the playoffs, and that's before even getting to the powerhouses in the Western Conference.

Most people didn't expect the Bulls to be in this position this season, so now the question is if this front office should look to make another big all-in move and totally go for it. Such a trade would likely involve trading youngster Patrick Williams, who could miss the rest of the season with a wrist injury. Coby White is another trade chip. Names like Jerami Grant and Harrison Barnes have been bandied about as trade targets, and there will be other options out there as well.

On the latest episode of Blue Wire's Cash Considerations podcast, Ricky O'Donnell explains why the Bulls should go for it:

“Why not go all in? The Bulls have a two-game cushion in the Eastern Conference on the Nets. The Nets haven't had their Big Three all year. Kyrie is about to debut, but can still only play in road games. This is the Bulls' chance. You don't know how often these championship shots come, and you never know how long the window is going to last. The window can close a lot sooner than you think it's gonna, especially when DeRozan is 32 and Vooch is 31. So, going all in for someone like Jerami Grant, I think it's going to be a really tempting move, and I wouldn't be shocked if the Bulls pull the trigger.”

There's about a month before the trade deadline. We'll see what the Bulls decide to do.
