The Kansas City Chiefs stunned the Buffalo Bills in what was arguably the wildest football game in NFL history during the divisional round. While Bills fans were struggling to come to terms with the loss, Chiefs fans were busy celebrating. But absolutely no love was lost between the two teams, nor their fanbases.

After the game, Chiefs fans started donating to the Oishei Children's Hospital, sending more than $178,000 in donations to the Patricia Allen Fund, which is named after Bills QB Josh Allen's grandmother.

The foundation provides funds for the hospital's pediatric critical care team. In November 2020, Allen played a game against the Seattle Seahawks just after the passing of his grandmother, Patricia. After the game, fans began donating to the hospital in increments of $17 and the total surpassed the $1 million milestone by the end of 2020.

Chiefs fans followed up with some significant donations after their incredible playoff win against the Bills this past weekend. The Oishei Children's Hospital took to Twitter to show their gratitude to Kansas City fans for their classy gesture. The hospital reported that over 9,800 Chiefs fans had donated to the Patricia Allen Fund, totaling more than $178,000 in just over a 24-hour span. Chiefs fans were donating in increments of $13, referencing the 13-second drive that enabled Kansas City to force overtime. The proceeds will go towards providing better care for children in the West New York area.

The awesome gesture from Chiefs fans didn't go unnoticed by those in Buffalo, and it goes to show the impact that fans can make when they pool together for a good cause.
