The Kansas City Chiefs were able to secure a pivotal AFC West matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11. Unfortunately, it came at a cost after running back LeSean McCoy was unable to finish the game.

McCoy was not able to return in the 24-17 victory and is currently being evaluated for a concussion, via Chiefs Twitter:

Kansas City did not have much luck keeping their backfield healthy in the win over Los Angeles. Running back Damien Williams had been knocked out of the game with a rib injury during the second quarter. The prospect of him and McCoy potentially having to miss some time would deal a crushing blow to their run game.

McCoy was able to make his presence felt with 57 yards and a touchdown on 11 touches. He appeared to be slated for a heavier workload one Williams went down with the injury, however, he was ultimately out-touched by running back Darrell Williams, who finished with 35 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.

Things will not get any easier for the Chiefs in the coming weeks as they get set to host another crucial divisional matchup against the Oakland Raiders after their bye before hitting the road to square off versus the New England Patriots. They were clearly trying to put an emphasis on establishing the run game this time around and will need Williams to build on his solid performance if they hope to keep it going.

Luckily for McCoy, the Chiefs don't play again until Week 13. We'll see if he's cleared through the concussion protocol with the extra time off.
