The Kansas City Chiefs have thus far made the offense around superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes a priority this offseason. Kansas City applied the franchise tag to tackle Orlando Brown Jr. and initiated contract talks with speedy wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Mahomes will like Kansas City's latest move with this former Pro Bowl wide receiver, as reported by Ian Rapoport.

Chiefs wide receiver Josh Gordon tweeted out that he would be staying with the team in 2022, adding that he's excited for the season with the franchise. Gordon's presence will be just another weapon for Patrick Mahomes to throw to.

The former Pro Bowler wasn't much of a factor in the Chiefs' offense, as he caught just five passes for 32 yards and a touchdown in 12 games. However, it's hard to forget the form that Gordon showed back in 2013 when he exploded for over 1600 yards and was named an All-Pro.

Evidently, the Chiefs must think that Gordon has something left in the tank, as they wouldn't have brought him back if they thought otherwise. Kansas City could certainly do worse at the third or fourth receiver spot.

There's also the fact that Josh Gordon can still attract some attention from opposing defenses, which makes Hill and talented tight end Travis Kelce that much better. It might not be the most exciting move, but it's definitely one that will make Mahomes happy this offseason.
