By the end of the first quarter of Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, the Kansas City Chiefs trailed the Buffalo Bills, 9-0. But as they have done multiple times in the playoffs, the Chiefs clawed their way back, scoring three touchdowns and 21 straight points to take a 21-12 halftime lead that they would not relinquish.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are no stranger to making comebacks in the postseason, doing it against the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round and the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 54 during their title run last year. With another come from behind win against the Bills, Mahomes moved up to 4-1 in the playoffs when trailing by two scores or more, per ESPN Stats and Info.

That record is yet another proof of the reigning Super Bowl MVP’s greatness and the Chiefs’ knack for comebacks. However, if Kansas City hopes to pull off another comeback in Super Bowl 55, they will have to do it against perhaps the only quarterback who is just as comfortable playing behind as Mahomes in Tom Brady.

Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t need a comeback against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game, but he made his name as a comeback king during his time with the New England Patriots. Whether it was the heart-stopping comeback sealed by a goal-line interception against the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 49 or the historic 28-3 comeback versus the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl 51, the 43-year old has engineered come from behind wins in the playoffs throughout his career.

Super Bowl 55 between the Chiefs and Buccaneers will feature two great quarterbacks who seem to play their best when their backs are against the wall, and fans will find out which comeback king will take home another title.
