Travis Kelce had a royal encounter at Taylor Swift's London Eras Tour show when he met Prince William. He enthusiastically shared the experience on his “New Heights” podcast with Jason Kelce.

“Dude, he was the coolest motherf—-,”Travis exclaimed, with his brother Jason Kelce chiming in, “He was awesome.”

The brothers also discussed their uncertainty about the proper etiquette for greeting a member of the royal family. Prince William and his two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, joined Swift backstage at Wembley Stadium on June 21.

“He was so cool, I didn't realize this because obviously we're backstage meeting him because he was there with little George and Charlotte and they were an absolute delight to meet. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to like bow to them, curtsy, just be an American Idiot and shake their hand,” said Travis Kelce.

“We wanted to be polite,

especially on this side of the pond,” he continued.

“We did get [a] warning because honestly we don't know,” Jason said.

Travis then explained that they were informed they didn't need to bow or curtsy since it wasn't an official royal event. He noted that if it had been an official meeting or royal event, that would have been the protocol, but he still addressed Prince William as Your Royal Highness.

Cameo in Taylor Swift's concert and being instagram official

Photographs of the royal party meeting the pop star and Kelce after the show were released on Kensington Palace's official social media account as well as on Swift's.

The picture also marked Swift's first time sharing a photo of Travis, but that wasn't the only first of the weekend. Travis made his debut on stage with his girlfriend during the concert on Sunday, June 23rd.

During a break in The Tortured Poets Department set, Swift was assisted by her male dancers after performing “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.” Typically, two men in tuxedos and top hats help Swift prepare for “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” but on Sunday, the audience witnessed an additional helper on stage. Travis carried Swift to a couch for a costume change, and she blew him a kiss as she left.

Taylor Swift began three consecutive nights at Wembley Stadium on Friday, performing for a star-studded audience that included Travis, Jason, and Kylie Kelce, along with other VIP guests. US Weekly reported on Friday that William brought Prince George (aged 10) and Princess Charlotte (aged 9) to the concert as part of his 42nd birthday celebrations.

While they enjoyed meeting Prince William, it appears that Princess Charlotte stole the spotlight. “Prince William was fantastic, but the highlight was Princess Charlotte,” Jason said.

He acknowledged that “George was great too,” but emphasized that Charlotte “was so fucking adorable,” Jason went on to say, “Maybe it’s because I have three girls now, but she had a fire to her, she was asking questions, she was the most electric part of it.”

Jason and his wife Kylie have three daughters: Wyatt, aged 4, Elliotte, aged 3, and Bennett, aged 1. They have been married for six years.

The former Philadelphia Eagles player also confessed to feeling “emasculated” when meeting William, with his brother noting it was the most respect he's seen Jason give someone.

“They were wonderful people, and that’s what it’s about. You know? Obviously, literally part of a monarchy, royalty. Hard to be a down-to-earth human being, I would assume. But came off that way completely,” said Jason.

Despite watching the show from a private suite, the royal trio still managed to have a special moment with Swift and Kelce.
